But be clear about what you are trading. ElevenLabs is a dedicated voice company with a 10,000+ voice library, 70+ languages and two grades of voice cloning. If the voice itself is the deliverable, they are the better tool. If the voice is one element of a cut you are assembling in Premiere, the round-trip is the thing that costs you, and that is what the expansion removes.

Not through a first-party panel, as far as their published material goes. ElevenLabs’ own Premiere Pro guide describes generating in the web app, saving the mp3, and importing it through the Media Browser — a download-and-import workflow. Unaffiliated third-party CEP extensions do exist and run on your own ElevenLabs API key; they are not ElevenLabs products and one of them says so explicitly on its own site. ElevenLabs is also available as a partner model inside Adobe Firefly on the web, which is a Firefly surface rather than a Premiere panel.

ElevenLabs is a monthly subscription with a credit allowance: a free tier their terms restrict to non-commercial use, then Starter at $6/mo ($5/mo on annual billing), Creator $22/mo, Pro $99/mo, Scale $299/mo and Business $990/mo. Annual billing is charged as ten months out of twelve.

The Audio Expansion is $69.99 one-time and requires the $149.99 base license — or $199.99 for the Creator Bundle if you do not own the panel yet, or included while an optional $24.99/mo Creator Pass is active. Roughly a year of Starter matches the expansion price. Creator, which their docs say you need for Professional Voice Cloning, is about $264 a year — near $792 over three. Generation on our side is billed by your own provider account at published rates rather than resold as credits.

Yes to both, on the same subscription — which is worth knowing before you assume the expansion covers more ground. Their Sound Effects generator turns a text prompt into audio, royalty-free for commercial projects on paid plans and non-commercial on the free tier. ElevenLabs Music is marketed as trained on licensed data only and cleared for commercial use, with the caveat their own page states: self-serve plans permit commercial use except for film, TV and Studio Games.

Two genuine differences remain. SFX Studio has a Foley mode that watches your clip and builds sound to match the action on screen, where their generator takes a text prompt rather than your footage. And we make no rights claim about generated audio at all — you connect your own provider account, so that provider’s terms govern the output. If documented licensing is what you need, read theirs.

No, and ElevenLabs say so themselves. Voice Isolator strips background noise and music to leave clean speech, which is the right tool for rescuing a noisy interview. Their page states it is not designed or optimised for music stem separation. Splitting a mixed track into vocals, drums, bass, piano and more is a different job, and it is the one row on this table where the capability gap runs our way.
